As you can see from our other posts, we're closed for another 2 weeks. It's hot and sticky and it's holiday time, so you might need a gauze wrap.

Closing down for the move

We've been talking about it for a few months and now the big day is coming,we are moving!. Any orders/inquiries placed after Wednesday, July 26th 9am London time will be processed after August 15th.
This time will allow us to get settled in our new town, pack and unpack peacefully (as peacefully as a move can be!). And we'll be back at the end of August with a new wrap our customers have been asking for over and over and over and over!

If you want to grab a bargain, you have a few hours left, the Clearance sale is still open.

In the meantime, take a look at Sling Meet, there are lots of baby wearing meetings planned around the UK. Edinburgh will be meeting on Saturday 29/7, London on Wednesday 2/8, Cambridge on Sunday 6/8, Reading on 9/8 and mums in Hampshire and Manchester are still deciding on the date.

Using a long wrap as a pouch or a rebozo

Did you know you can use your long wrap for a quick hip carry?

I discovered yesterday that it actually quite easy. We were all rather tired after a long journey and a crazy day. Odaline only wanted to be carried on my hip and wouldn't even let me put her down to wrap.
The gauze wraps are so thin that they are easy to fold in half, tie in your back like a rebozo, a short or as a pouch. And off you go!
It might not be the most comfortable hip carrier ever but if it's all you have handy, it's great and quick.

Hiding from the heat

Another opportunity to meet with sling parents. We met at the Princess Diana Playground in Kensington Gardens. It's a beautiful playground with sand, wooden boats, climbing frames, swings and a water feature where kids can splash about.
We were hiding from the heat under a large tree and only realised how hot it was when we left.
